Tricks For Academic Writing

What Do I Need To Do My Essay With Flying Colors: Expert Advice

If you want to write an essay with flying colors, it is best that you follow this expert advice:

Writing essays is a challenging component to academic success. It is something with which almost all students struggle and yet it does not have to be the big struggle that it seems. In order to write a good essay you must follow the tips below:

  • First, pick out a topic. You need to pick a topic that you enjoy, something that is near and dear to you. If you are passionate about animals, try and use that to find a topic that focuses on animals. If you want to one day travel to India, try and learn something new about India through your essay topic, or apply what you already know.
  • Use your topic as a chance for improved learning. If you are unable to pick the topic yourself and it has already been assigned, then you might still be able to alter the focus of it so that you write about something that is of better interest to you.
  • Write a list of the things you already know about the topic. If you already know something about the topic, it will save you a great deal of rudimentary research. This means it saves you a lot of time. After that, write out a list of the things that you still need to know. If you are trying to argue about school uniforms or white collar crime within the healthcare industry, what information do you need to know in order to present your argument? You should try and list the questions you need to answer, so that you can refine your research by answering these questions.
  • Conduct research. For every argument that you make, you need supporting evidence. This evidence can come from a book, a peer reviewed journal article, or newspaper, a government publication, a professional report, etc… You need to make sure that when you refer to or quote a source, you have a proper citation. Each time you reference something you need to write out the citation within the text and in the reference page at the end of your document. So when you are conducting research, you will be much better off if you write down the bibliographic information for each of the items you want to reference. This will save you time and effort later.
